Happy Halloween!

October 28, 2009

Halloween is just 3 days away… yikes , which means my Birthday is only 2 days away- yuk!  I mean having birthday’s are definitely better than the alternative, but I am good with NOT celebrating them from here on out… it’s just depressing….. anyhoo - I will be working on Halloween (second-shooting a wedding with my friend Jennifer) so my little precious Sam is not going to get to dress up this year, which I am sure he is happy about!  So, I decided to show you all of his past Halloween Costumes instead!! (because as all of you know, I am crazy about my dog… and so you all should be too- haha! jk!)  Now, you will notice in these pictures, that Sam seems less than thrilled to be dressing up, but don’t let him fool ya- he loves it!! Well, maybe not, but I sure do!!!!

The first year I had him, he was a little pig - which fits him perfectly because he snorts and grunts just like one!!

The second year, he was a skunk, which also fits him perfectly because, well, everyone that knows Sam will know the answer to that one! hahaha!!!  (good grief, He can run ya right out of the room! )

And last year, he was a little Lobster!  There really isn’t a story behind this one, except for the fact that my family loves Maine and vacations there quite a bit…and that is was really cute on Sam- but I mean what isn’t??!!

So that was my baby in all of his past Halloween Costumes! Hope you enjoyed them and maybe laughed a little!  I hope everyone has a safe and happy Halloween!!!

Bad shoes!!!

October 28, 2009

Ok- so I loved being in my little sister’s wedding this past weekend….. but I have a very painful reminder of the day- a sore on my foot from my shoes!!!!  I know it doesn’t sound bad, but I am hobbling around like a crippled person because of that thing!!!  Gordon keeps laughing at me, calling me a whimp!  …..well maybe I am … a little!  I guess it is true- you can’t have cute AND comfortable shoes- they are either one or the other!!!  Of course, these shoes were NOT cute enough to have caused this much pain….haha!   Happy Wednesday everyone!!

The Sineath Family

October 28, 2009

Heidi called me last week to photograph her two son’s- Caleb and Andrew, and a few family shots.  I photographed Caleb on the same fountain a few years ago, and she wanted to try to get a similar shot of Andrew, since he is now the age Caleb was when I took that picture.  I think we got some pretty similar shots!!! Caleb brought his new best friend to the shoot- BIG dog! Big dog wanted to be in all the pictures…. so I had to so some “creative” cropping after the fact…. haha!

Katie’s B-sesh

October 25, 2009

My little sister is married- yay! so now I can show you some of her amazing bridal session images!!! She lives in Greenville, so we went to a golf course  community near by, The Cliffs , and shot these a few months ago.  At the very top of the mountain, there was this beautiful stone chapel with black iron gates, massive dark wooden doors and a huge arched window that took up the entire side of the church - breathtaking!!!! And so was the bride- haha!!! Like I said before, I am a little partial to this bride- haha!!! But isn’t she just beautiful!!!!  Love you Katie- you were such a beautiful Bride yesterday!!!

Nick’s senior session

October 25, 2009

I met Nick’s mother at a recent wedding, where she asked me if I could take some shots of her son, Nick, for his senior pictures. Nick loves soccer- so of course a great place to shoot these was…….the Soccer Field!! I met Nick last week at the new soccer fields off of Patriot parkway, where he also works.  That place is pretty nice out there! Anyway- of course the sun was beating down on us from directly above our heads, not very flattering for pictures, but we played around and came up with some interesting angles to try to combat the sun….and we used some shade that was around the building too.  All and all, I think they came out pretty good! And I got to shoot him in action with the soccer ball…. pretty impressive moves!!!! Good luck to you nick, in your senior year, and with the soccer!!

Congrats to the both of you- I hope you are having a great honeymoon!!

Here is a sneak peek until I can finish the rest of the images:

Dana Bennett Bridal Session

October 20, 2009

Oopsie! I just realized I forgot to mention Dana’s B-sesh last week! Sorry girl! So- I met Dana down at Atalaya Castle last Monday for her B-sesh. I am really glad we were able to shoot this session, because it rained on my all the way there and all the way back- but not a drop while we were shooting- yay!!! Actually, the overcast skies were a big help once we got on the beach!
Check back after Dana’s March wedding to see some of her gorgeous images!

Chelsea + Jimmy: E-sesh

October 18, 2009

I met Chelsea and Jimmy Friday afternoon for their engagement session. We rode out to the country for these- which I loved! Finally- I got to shoot  in a cotton field…..and LOVED it!  It was nice to have a little bit country along with a little bit sassy (thanks to Chelsea’s awesome red dress and boots!) Chelsea and Jimmy are such a sweet couple! I just loved how Chelsea kept snuggling her face into Jimmy - she said she does that quite a bit - so I loved the shot I got of her burying her head into Jimmy’s shoulder while he played the guitar to her…which is something he does quite a bit (how sweet!).   Thanks to both of you for such a fun shoot… and for being  yourselves and being “real” in front of my camera!   Now- just remember to do that on your wedding day, and we’ll be just fine! haha!!!  : )
