So this is totally NOT related to photography - but I just gotta share, because I am that excited!   ok, I have always loved jeeps, not the new, quiet little ones - but the old, loud ones !!  My husband and I had one a few years ago (’85 CJ7), but unfortunately it had a lot of things wrong with it and we found out that we didn’t have the patience to re-do it like we thought we would- actually we pretty much fought over it the whole time, because something was always breaking! (Which, yes I know is typical for older jeeps)  So, we sold it.  Well, I always said that I would have another one one day, a nicer one, that was more reliable and “female friendly” , so it wouldn’t leave me anywhere.  When I found out about this jeep, I really wanted to buy it, then I tried to talk myself out of it because it seemed irresponsible, and  it was something I didn’t NEED, oh and the fact that I don’t like to spend $ either.   I can talk myself out of buying anything, no matter how bad I want it, so after a little back and forth, My husband said, ” you’ve wanted a jeep forever, you work hard, you deserve it, buy it if you want it - because if you don’t I am going to have to hear how you SHOULD have bought it.  So I did!!!

So here it is!!!  1979 CJ7 with a 304, 3 speed (that took some geting used to- reverse is up where 1st gear usually is! ).  And yes it is shiny and sparkling because I spent all day Sunday washing it……don’t laugh!  : )

You may remember little Addison’s mommy from her pregnancy pictures a few months back - well now here she is, and cute as ever!!! Addison was pretty much perfect for her first ever photo session- she smiled, she laughed- and not one cry! (Maybe she’ll be a model- haha).  check out this little cutie!!!

Amanda called me a few weeks ago to set up a type of “lifestyle” shoot I guess you would call it.  Cool idea.  She wanted images of her family, interacting with each other and just being themselves.  So, I met the Lovell Family at their home last  Thursday morning to just stand back and capture who they really are as a family: sitting on the couch with their 4 beautiful children, all snuggled  up in the bed reading a book, baking cookies and playing hide and seek!  Here are some of my favorite images from that morning:

Morgan and Adam met me last Tuesday for their engagement session.  We started out at her family’s farm in Sumter and then headed to his family’s farm in Pinewood.  There were such great places to shoot at both locations - I loved the hay loft and all the fields, oh and the railroad tracks too!  And after seeing how cute Morgan’s boots were, I think I now need a pair! Seriously - how have I lived to be 31 and NOT owned a pair of cowboy boots????  haha!!  Anyway- loved this shoot and this couple - so cute together!

Since Ashleigh is married, I can finally show you some of her Bridals! We shot these back in May, at a friends home here in Sumter, then we went to  Huntington State Park, in Atalaya Castle and then a few on the beach. Ashleigh, as you can see, looked amazing!! I love this girls’ smile! It’s just so genuine!

As you can see, I changed my blog to my new colors and logo, etc. I am interested to see how this appears on every one’s computer screens? For example- on my big computer in my office, the logo that is on the side of the blog page  looks perfect. However, on my laptop, the logo runs off the page and just looks stupid.  So, I was just wondering how it looks to everyone reading this?  If you don’t mind taking a minute to let me know??  Thanks ya’ll!

I met Whitney yesterday for her Bridal Session at an absolutely beautiful old Southern “mansion”. Well it may not be a mansion, but it’s more than just a “home”- haha!   I cannot describe how beautiful Whitney looked….. like a magazine!! Perfect dress, perfect hair, perfect smile- and she is just as nice as she is beautiful.  Unfortunately I cannot shoot Whitney’s wedding in may, because I was already booked for her date, but I have really enjoyed getting to meet and work with her through her engagement and Bridal sessions.  I wish I could show these pictures now, but alas, I must wait until May- sigh.  I’m setting a reminder now to post these after May 2010- haha!  Thanks Whitney, it was a blast!

Granger met me last week, on his very first Birthday! His mommy brought him the sweetest little cake….which he quickly destroyed!!! But he was so cute doing it! haha!

In all of my blogging last week, I left out little Reese!!!! Well here he is…. and isn’t he just the cutest thing!!!

Caroline and I met yesterday for her bridal session. She is such a sweet, beautiful girl, and she looked amazing! Check back in just a few weeks, after her Oct. 10th wedding, to see some more of her shots!
