Well, I guess it is finally time.  Time to take the next big step towards my photography career. I have decided to quit my full job. Yep, that’s right !  So, to everyone that always asks me “why do you still have a day job, when are you going to quit? “  Well, the answer is “NOW”.  And, to everyone reading this, or anyone that couldn’t get an appointment with me before because of my work schedule- call me today to book a session- haha! just kidding…. but no seriously call me : )

Anyone that knows me, knows that this is a HUGE decision that I am making, and it has not been an easy one to make.  All of my family and friends are probably going to be laughing at this next part - because I am actually admitting it…… but, I am very, very careful when it comes to money and financial decisions…..too careful most of the time.  Ok, yes I am CHEAP and a penny pincher!   I always over-think any and every decision I make.  I do not particularly like to take chances, without knowing the outcome, And I always like to be totally 100% sure of everything…….so to quit a full time salaried job, in THIS economy, and actually take a chance on something that I love and that makes me happy is really ….. well, scaring me!!!!   But I  know deep down that this is the right decision, and the right time for it.  I just have this calmness in me (and i am never calm) that everything will work out and everything will be fine.  And if I FAIL and fall flat on my face?  Well, I’ll know what to do differently next time, right?

I have really been amazed at how supportive people have been when they hear what I am doing.  They actually seem really happy for me, and that’s nice….makes me feel all warm and fuzzy- haha!!!  So I would like to say “THANK YOU” to everyone for their encouragement, kind words and support lately- it really helps to be reassured right now!   I would not be doing any of this without the love and support of my wonderful husband, family and friends or my awesome, amazing clients !  Speaking of clients, thanks to all of my current clients who keep passing my name to all of your friends! I joke with quite a few of them that I should be paying them to be my marketing reps (yes I am talking about you, Ashley Cook- haha!).  

Well, that’s about all I have to write- I just wanted to catch everyone up on the latest news.  And if anyone is actually reading all of this, feel free to post a comment to me if you want, I’d love to hear from ya!  No one ever posts comments! : (

Whitney & Kenneth met me on Memorial Day for their E-sesh! It was perfect weather- very cloudy and overcast at first, which is always good, then it got a little sunny - but it was perfect!  They will be getting married in November of this year, so check back at the end of the year for their wedding post!!

Valerie and her husband came in the studio last week for a pregnancy session to remember this special time in their lives.  Their little Addison is due to arrive on June 12th, so we got these in just in time! Valerie is such a cute pregnant person- so tiny!  Jennifer had just finished some cool backgrounds in the new studio, so we got to take full advantage of them and test them all out, haha! - the green wall, the decorative tiled white wall, and we moved the couch over by the window for some shots too!  Congrats to  you both and I hope to get to see little Addison when she arrives!

My weekend was very un-eventful! I really, really wanted to go out on our boat Sunday, since I actually had the day off! No sessions, no nothing…..But of course it RAINED! uuugggh! I wanted to cry….no really I did!  

My husband was going out to ride around on his hunting land with one of our friends, so I decided to go with him…since the lake trip was obviously out!  It was pretty fun. we rode the 4 wheeler around and checked everything out, i watched the two of them work on a stand while i picked blackberries and sat around on the 4 wheeler- in the rain! haha! But it was relaxing and not a bad way to spend a day off!

So I finally got to hear Becki sing this past Friday night….and I was amazed! She is awesome…..which is why she is in Nashville- haha!  But really, she is great! I tried to snap a pic of her on stage with my blackberry…..turned out pretty bad- but check out her myspace for some better pics and to listen to some of her music!!!

Oh- and she had T-shirts printed and  she was nice enough to put my name on them, since I took some pics of her recently- woohoo! And Yes, of course I bought one in each color- haha!

I can’t belive I am actually posting these pics- because I was seriously have a BAD hair day at this wedding!  My hair and humidity are NOT friends so it was pulled back! Anyway- My friend, Carol, who was also a guest at this wedding, sent me these pics of me- in action!

I just got home from Terrah and Caleb’s beautiful wedding- and I can’t wait to post some of Terrah’s Bridal session pics!  Now I can finally show them!  Here are some of my favs!

“Have you seen my ring?” - haha!

Ella came to the new studio this past Wednesday for her 3 month session. I could not believe how different she looked from the last time I photographed her- she just gets more beautiful every time I see her! We were laughing so hard when we tried to put her in the little pink fluffy tutu- because it was so HUGE on her and it looked like it was attacking her! haha! She looked like she was drowning in a sea of pink fluff! But after all of that THOSE actually turned out to be my favorites!! Maybe she can try the tutu again at her 6 months session!

Dana and Brett are married!!!

  This wedding was every bit of awesome!  I really love it when a bride and groom just really seem to “fit” together and these two definitely fit!  haha!  Dana is so sweet and soooo funny! I found myself laughing all during the day just listening to her! 

I loved watching these two throughout the day- they were so much in love and so sweet!  Their reception was beautiful- with a Savannah theme (Dana and Brett met while living in Savannah).   Their wedding cake was under a gorgeous white iron gazebo with purple wisteria woven all around it.  Everything was really unique and beautiful!

Congratulations to you both and thank you so much for letting me work with you throughout your whole wedding experience!
