Seniors…Live out LOUD!

September 3, 2010

sl-ad-senior

It’s your senior year!  12 years of school…homework, books, teachers, sports, detention, parties, friends, laughing, crying……You FINALLY made it! Woohoo …..now, are you really the kind of person that wants to remember your senior year with the same old boring pictures that everyone else has?   You know the one I’m talking about….. you, sitting on the floor by the big white “2011″ numbers????? Yeah- I didn’t think so.   You want images that are reflective of  who YOU are at this point in life- modern, fresh, fun….oh and cool…haha!    If this sounds like YOU- let’s get together and create a lasting memory that you will be PROUD to show off in 5, 10 or 20 years…not one that embarrasses you!

Seniors: Abbie

April 23, 2010

I photographed Abbie on Tuesday for her senior portraits.  What a sweet, beautiful girl! Her eyes seemed to just pop in every picture. Abbie brought along her best friend to share in some of the photos, as well as her guitar- which I loved. It seemed like we were running from the rain during the whole shoot, but it held out for us….right until the very end! On some of the final images, you can see rain drops streaking by, which was a kind of cool effect.  And I loved her “dancing in the rain” shots- haha!!   Thanks Abbie- you were a terrific model- and best of luck to you in your senior year!

Senior Session: Tregea

March 24, 2010

I met Tregea Friday for her senior session. We met downtown and she brought along her cute puppy, Ophelia and her boyfriend and best friend, Kyle.  Ophelia was so cute- she would bark at everyone that walked by… unless they stopped to pet her - she just wanted  attention!  Kyle had his hands full trying to keep her quite and hold her back- haha!!  Tregea is a very sweet girl and was really easy to get to know.  Among her many hobbies and activities, are dancing and  photography.  Her father was also into photography and he left her his cameras and equipment.  She brought along one of her cameras to use in some of the shots - loved it!!  And I was amazed  at her ballet skills too…..that looks like it would really make your toes HURT!!

After we shot downtown, we headed out to the country to finish the shoot. We found a great green field, which looked amazing with her red dress and umbrella!! Thanks Tregea, Kyle and Ophelia for a great shoot - I really enjoyed meeting you!!  Good luck with your senior year Tregea!!

Nick’s senior session

October 25, 2009

I met Nick’s mother at a recent wedding, where she asked me if I could take some shots of her son, Nick, for his senior pictures. Nick loves soccer- so of course a great place to shoot these was…….the Soccer Field!! I met Nick last week at the new soccer fields off of Patriot parkway, where he also works.  That place is pretty nice out there! Anyway- of course the sun was beating down on us from directly above our heads, not very flattering for pictures, but we played around and came up with some interesting angles to try to combat the sun….and we used some shade that was around the building too.  All and all, I think they came out pretty good! And I got to shoot him in action with the soccer ball…. pretty impressive moves!!!! Good luck to you nick, in your senior year, and with the soccer!!

Chandler’s Senior Session

August 13, 2009

I met Chandler today for a senior session- and the rain actually held out for us! It rained all day and then the sun came out- I’d like to think it was just for us : ) We started out on Main st, downtown and then went out to the Salem Black River Church to finish up. This was one of those days when EVERYTHING was perfect. The lighting was perfect! I knew as soon as I started shooting that this was going to be a great session - I love that feeling. I LOVE days like this! haha!
Chandler is so cute, and what an amazing smile! She was great to photograph!
Thanks Chandler and best of luck to you in your senior year!
